We are a Washington State licensed Adult Family Home with Manager Dementia and Mental Health Specialty training, CPR, First Aid, and Nurse Delegation.

 

The owners, Harvey and Maxine Brink, are Resident Providers with years of experience in professional service capacity.  We are dedicated to providing secure care in a family setting.   Adagio is our home where you belong to our family and your family is always welcome.

 

Our Care Team also includes a delegating Registered Nurse, Marge Griffiths, with more than 30 years experience in geriatrics. She assists our staff with health assessments and care plans, medications, ongoing health changes. She assists with training and supervision of our caregivers all of whom are Certified and Registered Nursing Assistants with years of experience. Per WA State requirement, we regularly submit Background Authorization updates.

 

We are certified for Diabetic Care and injections.

All services aim to encourage your capacity for independence as we celebrate your life, and to provide comfort when your abilities become limited.  Companionship and socialization, emotional support, spiritual care per your beliefs blend with our family environment.

 

24-Hour awake CNA Care.

 

Medication Management accomplished through close communication with your doctor and our Registered Nurse.  We monitor and chart your physical functioning for your best health.

 

We eat well.  Meals, snacks and liquids are prepared around the expressed tastes of our Residents, with dietary modification as defined by your Care Plan.  Ask to see the Adagio Cook Book.

 

Personal care of your laundry and private room as we would want for our own things.  Personal grooming is also important on a daily basis.

 

Physical Activities:  Our cul-de-sac encourages neighborhood walks as weather permits.  We implement physical, occupational and vision therapy prescribed by your therapists.

 

Life enhancement and cognitive training:  We play games as a group, i.e., dominos; discuss the daily Herald quiz.  Puzzles, word search, crafts seek to maintain the current memory functions of our residents.  We watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy as a group and have won thousands of dollars in our living room.

 

“Activities of Daily Living” refers to the light menial tasks that have given value to our lives.  We include residents in household tasks as much as they are safely able.

 

 

A handicap-accessible Dodge Van assists us with field trips.
